Natural Alternative & its benefits
Cinnamaldehyde & Allicin: Presence of Cinnamaldehyde exhibits broad-spectrum antiparasitic and similar effects mentioned in Garlisure (antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral). Anthelmintic effects (anti-worm) activities is observed. Beyond antiparasitic activity, cinnamaldehyde has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that help alleviate the tissue damage caused by parasitic infestations.
Cinnamaldehyde: the active compound found in cinnamon (Cinnamomum species), has been shown to possess significant antiparasitic activity, particularly against intestinal and external parasites in poultry, cattle, and ruminants. This compound’s mode of action and benefits in combating parasitic infection.
The Need
Severe coccidiosis outbreaks can result in high mortality, especially in young birds. Decreased egg production and quality (thin shells due to stress from ectoparasites). Poor growth rates and feed conversion efficiency, especially with internal parasites like roundworms and coccidia.
Chronic parasitic infestations can delay breeding, cause abortions. For aquaculture, reduction in water quality, skin & fin damage, ectoparasites cause irritation & wounds. Gastrointestinal parasites lead to malnutrition and slow growth rates. Blood-sucking parasites like ticks and flies cause severe anaemia and reduce resilience to other diseases.
